Terminator

Terminator (aka killer) is a free, simple-to-use application which kills the indicated process after a given amount of time in seconds. The application was written with VB.net and requires the .NET Framework v2.0 or higher in order to run properly. This application is useful, for example, if you are listening to an online radio before you fall asleep. If you leave the browser or application running after you fall asleep, it will continue to download streams of music onto your computer and therefore waste your bandwidth. With Terminator, you can set the time to kill the process of the browser or application and therefore terminating the stream.

To use the Terminator, simply type in the process name without the extension (so chrome.exe would be chrome) or the ID of the process and type in a time value in seconds. Click on "Start timer" when you are done. Once you start the timer, Terminator will minimize itself to reduce memory usage. You may stop the timer whenever you want, by clicking on "Stop timer". PLEASE NOTE: Terminator will only terminate processes that your active (logged-in) username owns.
